Our new exhibition will champion the value of books and libraries to people's lives.
To mark our 100th birthday, the National Library of Scotland presents a special exhibition, 'Dear Library'.
Produced in collaboration with partners across the country, this love letter to libraries will intrigue, energise, and galvanise you. You'll leave with a whole new perspective on libraries, how they can help you, and how you can help them.
Our exhibition space will transform into an open reading room. Here you'll be able to browse through bookshelves filled with recommendations from members of the public and well-known Scottish figures. You'll see librarians and libraries in popular culture, protest banners and badges reflecting libraries under threat, vintage film footage bringing past libraries to life, and lots more…
