In this relaxing beginners workshop you will learn how to write in a simple gothic blackletter style of calligraphy inspired by the beautiful manuscripts on display in our current exhibition, 'Renaissance: Scotland and Europe'.
The workshop will be led by calligrapher Jemma Toller from The Coastal Pen Calligraphy Studio, who will demonstrate how to create this striking script, giving individual feedback throughout the workshop.
All materials and a cup of tea will be provided. The workshop fee includes a coloured calligraphy pen which you will get to take home with you to enable continued practice.
