Want to know the basics of how to use the National Library now that you have a library card?

For new readers we offer a short induction session covering:

• Using the reading rooms
• Finding and requesting material
• Delivery times
• Reservation procedures
• Advance reservations
• Where and how to get more help.

These free sessions last 20 minutes. 

If possible we will run them as and when requested, but during busy periods you may have to book a suitable time slot.

We also offer short introductory sessions to using the main catalogue. These can be tailored to suit individual needs. During busy periods you may have to book a suitable time slot.
