National Library of Scotland membership gives free access to our extensive range of eResources:
- The full suite of resources is available to use in person in the Edinburgh reading rooms and at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow
- You can use many of them from any computer outwith the Library if your main address is in Scotland.
These resources cover categories such as business, science, government, art, literature, history, biography and music, and they include:
- Full-text reference works, newspapers, journals and reports
- Digitised books, periodicals and manuscripts
- Records and abstracts.

Some resources have restrictions placed on them by their publishers. That is why access outwith our premises is only available to Library members whose main address is in Scotland. See the 'Getting started' page on our eResources site for more about terms and conditions.
