Everything you can do with online maps
Maps Curator Chris Fleet's talk illustrates the potential and the future direction of the National Library of Scotland's maps website.
At the Library we have over 200,000 online maps (as of October 2018), and a very wide range of ways of using them. Chris also talks about about the main map collections and how to find them, and about the value of georeferencing. He presents a look 'behind-the-scenes' at map digitisation, and the programs we use to put maps online.
Talk given on Tuesday 23 October 2018.
Our events programme presents speakers who talk on a diverse variety of topics and often includes lively discussion with our live audience.
